Pellet and Briquette production facilities

Schwedt With pellet and briquette production facilities, biological fuels are converted in specified parameters. Among the classical fuels are

  • Pellets according to DIN, DIN-Plus, Ö-Norm
  • Industrial pellets
  • Wood chips
  • Various forms of wood briquettes
  • Bark briquettes

During the production, the biomasses go through differing processing stages like grinding, separating, drying, pressing etc. Thus the fuels are often energetically compacted; the specific heating value increases. This heat upgrading is the prerequisite for an effective transport of the biomass and the use in automated combustion facilities. Furthermore after the processing stage the firing of the fuels in existing large power plants is possible. In doing so, during the production attention must be paid that the special fuel specification for this is adhered to.

Our scope of activities in this area coincides with that of the others and can be summarised as follows:

  • Projecting
  • Concept or feasibility study
  • Pre and draft planning
  • Authorisation planning
  • Implementation planning
  • Tendering of the individual trades
  • Making decisions when awarding
  • Project coordination
  • Monitoring of construction
  • Start up of operations
  • Support of operation
  • Maintenance work
